Krishna Akubathini

Krishna is an accomplished business banking professional with over 10 years of experience and leadership in operations, client relationship management, and project management. He currently lives in Chinatown, Philadelphia, and works in project management at Edward Jones. He was born in Hyderabad, India, and immigrated with his family to the United States at a young age. Krishna graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with degrees in Mathematics and Economics. He is very passionate about his family and friends, traveling for new experiences (especially to try new foods), and enjoying a wide variety of music.

 

As an immigrant and member of the South Asian American community, Krishna has personally felt and seen the effects of prejudices within the community and the difficulty in finding the right kind of support. Having seen these issues lead to the loss of the life of a close friend, Krishna has been passionate about giving to mental health charities. Joining SAAFC has provided Krishna the opportunity to effect a greater change. Krishna plans to use his background in finance and project management to help the organization grow and help maximize the organization's impact within the community.
